At Berry Chill, we believe vibrant living starts with what you put into your body.

 

After retiring from a 31-year career as a teacher of the Deaf, our owner, Tara Gardner, knew she wasn't finished serving her community. She simply wanted to continue making a difference but this time through healthy, delicious food.

Inspired by her very first açaí bowl years ago, Tara discovered that nutritious food could be both nourishing and exciting. That passion led her to open Luna Soul & Bowls in Ocean View, New Jersey with her niece. They later expanded by opening a second location, Luna Soul & Bowls Vineland, in April 2025. The incredible support from the community where Tara grew up and spent her entire teaching career reaffirmed her mission to make healthy eating accessible to everyone.

As time went on, the Ocean View and Vineland locations naturally evolved in different directions, with each owner pursuing their own vision for the future.

 

Knowing that Egg Harbor Township had always been her next destination, Tara proudly opened Berry Chill in April 2026.

Launching Berry Chill gave Tara the opportunity to build something entirely her own while expanding on the menu and ideas she had spent years developing. With exciting new recipes, fresh concepts, and a growing vision for the future, she knew it was the perfect time to rebrand the Vineland location under the Berry Chill name, creating one brand that reflects her passion for innovation, community, and healthy living.

Today, Berry Chill's mission is simple: to serve fresh, wholesome, nutrient-dense food that tastes every bit as good as it makes you feel. From our handcrafted açaí bowls and smoothies to our signature protein bites, every ingredient is carefully selected for its quality, freshness, and flavor.
